The conversation ends.
The work continues.

A thread holds what the work is about. A session is one place and time in which you work on it.

A thread is the durable through line.

A thread gives an intention a place to accumulate useful context. It can contain a starting thought, later observations, decisions, and a working brief. Its purpose is to keep the effort understandable as you learn more.

For example, a thread about improving onboarding may begin with a support observation, gain a few research notes, and develop into a decision about what to test. These are different kinds of material contributing to the same effort.

A session is a temporary working context.

A session belongs to a particular stretch of interaction. It has a context and a history, and it may have limits imposed by the tool supplying it. Closing that conversation should not mean losing the purpose of the work.

The current development build can record conversation-session metadata against a thread. This is a record of context, not a live connection to an AI tool. It does not by itself start an agent, resume a provider conversation, or establish that a session is still running.

The working brief makes return practical.

A transcript preserves detail; a brief explains the present. A useful brief captures the intent, current understanding, important constraints, and open questions. As it changes, older versions remain distinguishable from the current one.

Moiravo’s local foundation also records which sources were selected for context. This makes the material behind a brief easier to inspect. A context record being current inside Moiravo does not prove that an external source has remained unchanged.

Imported history has visible limits.

The development build supports bounded imports of explicitly prepared conversation text. Imported messages retain their supplied source information, while gaps and omitted attachments remain visible. That is different from automatic synchronization with an external conversation.

Native importers, complete source coverage, attachment capture, and delivery of context back into AI tools still need further work. A retained conversation can be useful without being represented as complete.

Branching is the next layer.

The planned branching experience gives a tangent its own room while retaining a connection to its origin. Reconnection should bring back a result and its relevant context, without silently replacing the original intent or decisions.

Creating or linking a thread also should not grant permission to act. The work’s history and the authority to execute it are separate concerns.

Keep the purpose durable.
Let the working context change.
